Hi, I’m Martha! ☀️
I believe a few kind words can change the whole shape of a day. I know it because I’ve lived it.
A few years ago, I was walking through one of the hardest seasons of my life. The days felt heavy, the weeks felt long, and Wednesday — that stubborn middle of the week — always seemed to be the hardest day of all. One morning, in the middle of all that, a friend sent me a simple text: a short blessing, just a couple of lines, wishing me light for the day ahead. It couldn’t have taken her more than a minute to write.
But I read it at least ten times. I carried it with me the whole day, the way you’d carry a small warm stone in your pocket.
That was the moment this little corner of the internet was born. I realized that most of us aren’t looking for long sermons or perfect advice — we’re looking for a small light at the right moment. A blessing before the coffee finishes brewing. A prayer that meets us in the middle of the week, in the middle of the mess. A gentle reminder that we’re doing better than we think.
So that’s what I write here, every week: blessings, prayers, and words of encouragement I’d want a friend to send me — the kind that arrive right when you need them.
What You’ll Find Here
- Daily blessings for mornings, evenings, and every day of the week (Wednesdays hold a special place in my heart, for the reason you now know)
- Short prayers for strength, healing, family, and the days that feel too heavy to carry alone
- Wishes to share with the people you love — because a blessing multiplies every time it’s passed along
Everything here is written to be shared. Copy it, send it, whisper it over your coffee. If one line on this site reaches someone on their hard Wednesday the way that text once reached me, then this whole blog has done its job.
When I’m Not Writing
You’ll find me right where you’d expect: by the window with a warm cup of coffee, watching the morning come in. I believe mornings are proof that we get to begin again — every single day.
Thank you for being here. I mean that.
May today be gentler with you than yesterday was.
With love, Martha ☕
